Wedding Dance Lessons

We will choreograph a dance matching a song you and your fiancé choose. In addition, we will edit your music if necessary to fit a reasonable time limit and make it more danceable. We are knowledgeable dance instructors… wedding dance lessons are not our only business.

FOR SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER WEDDINGS YOU HAVE AMPLE TIME TO PREPARE. BELOW YOU CAN CHOOSE AN OPTION BASED ON YOUR BUDGET. SO WHEN SHOULD YOU BEGIN YOUR LESSONS? HERE IS A GOOD FORMULA FOR DECIDING:

· YOU WILL WANT YOUR LAST LESSON AS CLOSE TO YOUR WEDDING DAY AS POSSIBLE SO YOUR ROUTINE WILL BE FRESH IN YOUR MIND COME WEDDING DAY.

· YOU WILL WANT TO AVERAGE ONE LESSON PER WEEK ALLOWING TIME TO PRACTICE IN BETWEEN LESSONS*.

· BACK-OFF ONE WEEK FOR EVERY LESSON YOU PLAN TO PURCHASE.

*It is very important to practice on your own between each lesson. You don’t really know how much you’ve learned until you try the moves without me there to correct or answer questions.

The package prices are all inclusive and cover everything in your choreography from walking onto the floor to the finish as well as any music edits required. The package hours quoted is actual private lesson time. There is no separate charge for time spent developing choreography or editing music.

Schedule a free thirty minute consultation and we will demonstrate what your dance could be based on the song you choose and provide a sample of our teaching method. Plus we will answer any questions about any issues we haven’t addressed.

The psychology of learning your wedding dance:

The goal for most couples is to feel confident and therefore comfortable as they perform their first dance so they can focus on their partner and enjoy that fun and special part of their wedding celebration. Some of the aspects that play a role in accomplishing that goal are prior dance experience of one or both partners, and the length and complexity of the dance choreography.

Even people who have prior dance experience or who are currently active dancers learn at differing paces. How quickly and how well couples learn a particular routine can't be guaranteed. However much like any other aspect of your wedding celebration the more time you spend in preparation the more enjoyment you will derive from the experience. If you are not sure about committing to one of the larger packages you can start small and upgrade if you wish.

To be reasonably successful at any given level you should prepare to complete the number of lessons in a respective package in the recommended time listed. If we determine that you have all the training necessary to accomplish your goal and you have time left over in your package those hours can be applied to private lessons to be taken at a later date.
